Swedish House Mafia, the legendary electronic music trio, have announced their triumphant return (again).
Dance music and the festival scene as a whole were in a very different place a decade ago. EDM was propelling to higher heights and dominating speakers around the world, while festivals were picking up serious momentum as fans craved the chance to catch their new favorite artists live. At the forefront of this explosion in popularity was a trio of Swedish artists, Steve Angello, Axwell, and Sebastian Ingrosso, otherwise known as Swedish House Mafia – and in 2012 they made their headline debut at Coachella.
Coachella 2012 featured a laundry list of artists who either were or would soon become powerhouses in the dance music scene, but Swedish House Mafia topping the lineup that year further propelled the legitimacy of the dance music scene. Now, a decade later, they are returning to the Empire Polo Grounds with a live show that will help usher in a new era of their sound when Coachella returns from its hiatus on April 15-17 and April 22-24 next year.
The news of Swedish House Mafia’s return to Coachella rides on the heels of a tour that’s been revealed this week with posters and video ads popping up in cities like London, Amsterdam, Las Vegas, San Diego, Miami, and Madrid, among others:

The video appeared for the first time on the well-known fan group, @teamsaofficial, and it has been recorded around the O2 Arena.
The same kind of advertising was reported to be seen in Amsterdam at Ziggo Dome too by @sizehq.
The basketball field at the Toyota Center in Houston has also been wrapped with SHM logo.

The mega led wall at ARIA Resort & Casino Las Vegas has been turned on with the trio’s logo as well – suggesting a show at the T-Mobile Arena.
The official Twitter account of San Diego Pechanga Arena posted the same kind of picture we’re seeing online, confirming a show in SD.
Madrid and Miami are the latest two confirmations. The led walls have been switched on at the IFEMA Madrid, an event and congress center located in the North East of the city, near the Adolfo Suárez airport. In Miami, the advertisement has been seen near the FTX Arena, very close to Bayfront Park.
New York has been added to the list too. Unfortunately, no Madison Square Garden or Barclays at the moment but, MetLife Stadium has been announced. It’s located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, 5 miles west of New York City.
Ball Arena in Denver confirmed a show by the Swedish House Mafia as well as Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
